Alger Parks and Recreation

Alger Parks and Recreation is a partnership between Munising Township, AuTrain Township, Grand Island Township, and the City of Munising.  Representatives from these partners make-up the voting membership on the board.  Ex-officio members of the board are  from Munising Public Schools, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and the DNR.  These dedicated folksl meet on a monthly basis to oversee the operation of the recreation department.

APRD, Inc. board  meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at the Alger Parks & Recreation Office- 109 W. Superior Street (The Kelley Marketing Building)

 Public attendance is welcome and encouraged.
